Arrival & Departure

Check-in begins at 11:00 AM. If your room is not ready, you are welcome to park your car, leave your luggage with us, and start exploring Savannah. Arrivals after 5:00 PM will receive self-check-in instructions.

Please notify us as early as possible so we can adjust our schedules. Timely arrivals are important, as we are not a traditional hotel.

Standard check-out is 11:00 AM. You may leave your luggage with us while you continue to enjoy Savannah on your departure day.

Each room has a deadbolt for security. Your key opens your guestroom, front doors, kitchen, courtyard, and carriage house lane doors. The doorknob locks from the inside; the key is only for unlocking.

Reservations & Payments

A deposit equal to one night is required at the time of reservation.

  • Cancellations more than 7 days before arrival incur a $50 fee.
  • Cancellations fewer than 7 days before arrival forfeit the deposit.
  • 100% of the reservation cost is charged for no-shows.
  • A 30-day notice is required for holidays, holiday weekends, or special events (e.g., St. Patrick’s Day, New Year’s Eve).

Yes, purchase a gift certificate for any dollar amount through our website, at the inn, or by phone.

Gratuities are not required but appreciated. A suggested amount is $5 per night, left in the guest room or directly to staff.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in our dining room at 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM. Two seatings may be necessary when the inn is full. Guests may also enjoy breakfast on the patio or balcony when the weather permits.

We serve a full hot chef’s choice breakfast family-style, with options like eggs, potatoes, meat, biscuits, casseroles, grits, French toast, and breakfast burritos. Menus change daily, and dietary restrictions can be accommodated if notified in advance.

Coffee is typically ready by 6:30 AM. Guests may also make coffee earlier using instructions provided in the room.

Guests & Pets

Catherine Ward House Inn does not accept any animal guests.

All guests must be at least 14 years of age. All rooms are double-occupancy only.

Each room accommodates a maximum of two guests, regardless of age.

Property Amenities & Guest Services

Yes, high-speed wireless internet is available throughout the inn at no charge. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every device, but we can provide alternative hotspot recommendations if needed.

On-street parking is generally available, and off-street parking is provided with a permit. All parking is free.

Savannah offers a free DOT Historic District shuttle service:

  • Monday–Friday: 7 AM – 7 PM
  • Saturday: 10 AM – 7 PM
  • Sunday: 10 AM – 6 PM

Two stops are just 2–3 blocks from the inn. Maps are available at the inn or online at ConnectOnTheDot.com.

Yes, Catherine Ward House Inn is a non-smoking property.

We do not offer daily housekeeping. Fresh towels, supplies, and trash service are provided without entering the room. For stays longer than four nights, rooms are refreshed every third night.

Guests may not cook due to fire regulations. However, you are welcome to access glasses, ice, and ice buckets.

We do not have a liquor license. Guests may bring their own beverages; we provide glasses and ice.

Yes, we can assist with tours, restaurant reservations, and itineraries. We recommend making restaurant reservations in advance.
